Habitat House 84 photos
The first of the Habitat House 84 photos are posted to the Internet. The House build is sponsored by the Dow Chemical Co. Freeport, Texas.
This is a ten day build, Thursday though Saturday, then Monday to Saturday. Landscaping will be finished later in the month.
I hope to shoot most of the mornings before I run off to work and then post the photos to my blog. later that night.

Neil Armstrong
On July 21, 1969, I was listing to Neil Armstrong as commander of Apollo 11 and Buzz Aldrin, lunar module pilot land the Eagle on the Moon. I remember thinking the future of man spaceflight is here.
Boy was I wrong.
Little did I know that only 12 men would walk on the Moon. Neil Armstrong was the first. And twelve men later, Eugene Cernan was the last person in history to walk on the lunar surface.
The end of the America space race.
Will future astronauts as they ride other countries rockets into space remember we once controlled the thunder?
Or will they just lick the stamp and asked, Neil who?

The Dedication of Habitat for Humanity House 83 is done, today , July 01, 2012.
The Sweeny City Manager, Ms Cindy King, was among the attending, welcoming the new Sweeny residents to the Sweeny community. Ms King commented that several city noted residents that how good the new home looked and asked how could they get one like it.
Mary-Ellen Thomas, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Southen Brazoria County replied that until Sweeny changes they building codes, Habitat for Humanity would not be building in Sweeny again, anytime soon.
Most cities of Brazoria County do not require Habitat for Humanity build two car garages. Habitat for Humanity build homes for people, not for cars and trucks.
As for House 83, Habitat for Humanity board felt that they were too far committed too build House 83 with a two car garage.
Normally Habitat for Humanity does not build homes with two car garage.
In the case of the house near Dairy Bar or House 17, the Home owners build the two garage after the Habitat for Humanity group moved on to the next house. The Habitat for Humanity group can not build garage for car. instead of people.

Saint Arnold Brewing Company
One of the Houston Radio talk show Host tells the story that he was visiting Saint Arnold Brewing Company a local beer brewery one day, when a customer asked the owner, Brock Wagner, why did not Saint Arnold make "lite beer".
Brock Wagner stared at the guy with disbelieve for a moment. Then he grabbed beer mug and filled it half way with water and then filled the rest of it Saint Arnold's beer. After mixing the water and the beer together, he served it the customer.
The customer stare at the "lite beer" for a moment, and then at Block, then the customer tasted 'lite beer. Brock Wagner said to customer, "That is what 'lite beer' is. Half water and half beer." Then the customer apologized to Brock Wagner. Saint Arnold has no plans ever to make "lite beer".
The picture to the right is "Saint Arnold Fancy Lawnmower Beer" one of the several beer that Saint Arnold makes. It's also my wife favorite beer.
Also for the kids [and kids of all age] Saint Arnold makes rootbeer, too. Their root beer is may real cane sugar and not corn syrup which give it a real root beer taste.
